How/Why is your work at BB meaningful to you:

As a child who grew up in an English community with a French Acadian mother, learning a second language was always important in our home. Having French language opened many doors throughout my life, and pairing that with music is a beautiful match that allows me to pass this gift on to other families and children.

Favorite adult band/singer in the language you teach:

George Belliveau and Bois-Joli

Your special way of getting the children's attention or unique teaching technique:

I am known for having a sparkle and magic in my classroom that is infectious. I have been teaching for over 16 years now and still love every moment connecting with families.

One reason why you think learning a foreign language is important at a young age:

The younger we learn a second language, the more that language becomes part of us. There is a critical time period to learn languages and skills and it allows the language or skill to blossom early and be pulled on later in life with much ease.

Customer review

I love Bilingual Birdies because it’s an opportunity for my child to experience language the way she wants to learn.
Sharon Ng
I enjoyed it immensely because it was very dramatic and theatrical. Their multilingual and multicultural storytelling is an excellent approach to early literacy because it invites people from all cultures to participate through music, a universal language.

We took private lessons in Spanish and French with Bilingual Birdies and my children just loved them!
